You knowww, I often wonder why kids who aren’t 13 are taken to the movie to see a PG-13 or even worse an R rated movie. Last week I went to see a PG-13 movie. I sat far away from every one just so I would not be disturbed. Mmmm hmmm. A woman and her 2 younger daughters, I’ll say 7 and 10, sat right behind me. Okay…fine…until I heard the SLURRPIN of a beverage through a straw. Then the 10 year old directly behind me started CRUNCHIN on the popcorn with her mouth open. I know her mouth was wide open because there is no way that the munchin and crunchin would be louder than the movie. Okay, I understand all of this because adults do it. However, what had me hot was the question after question and the "I don't understand" they asked their mom about the movie because they weren’t 13.
Examples of questions:
“Mom, why is she wearing a wig?”
“Mom, what are those?”
“Why and what for?”
This is how it went on through the movie. Mom should have taken them to a G rated movie if the PG-13 was so difficult. I did get a good 30 minutes in of quietness until the oldest one opened up that darn bag again and MUNCH MUNCH CRUNCH CRUNCH started all over. Even the girl’s mom told her to shhhh. Nothing like the theaters huh? No, nothing like renting.
