The Scorpion King 2: Rise of a Warrior (2008)

Oh my word!!! Heck nah!!! This movie is nothing like the original. I’m not saying the original was an Academy Award winning movie, but it was 1000 times better than the sequel, plus the original had Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson starring in it. The acting in the Scorpion King 2 (SK2) leaves everything to be desired. The dialogue is PITIFUL. Let me set the picture. You know when you can’t draw and you try to depict human beings on paper, and the best thing you can do is scribble some stick figure people? Well, the dialogue in SK2 is like stick figure people – bland, juvenile, and ridiculous. The acting is stick figure people. The cinematography is stick figure people. 

I should have known when this movie was going straight to DVD that it would be jive, but I had no idea. SK2 was advertised multiple times on various sites. I was bamboozled. Here, I'm thinking it was going to be some great action scenes... Okay? When the two women fought -- stick figure people. Seriously, the way they moved was like they were counting 1...2...3... HIT. 1...2...3....DUCK. I’m not one to usually suggest my readers not rent a movie, but mmm mmm mmm, this one is for the USA station. One reel rating! One reel rating!
